  • Comedy4Cast — I had the opportunity to see Clinton perform Comedy4Cast live at Dragon*Con, which he just released into his feed. I am pleased to say that he’s just as clever and witty in person as he is in his podcast, which you should be listening to already..
  • The House of Grey — The last few chapters of this Parsec-nominated free audiobook are coming out, and it is paying off big time, with excitement and tragedy, action and mystery. I had the wonderful opportunity to sit down a couple of times with Colin Earl (the writer) and Chris Snelgrove (the reader/performer) at Dragon*Con. Go ahead and start listening to the book, and hold on for the ride!

TWS133.75: Coffee with Encaf (@DragonCon2009)

On September 12, 2009, in Episodes, by the Encaffeinated ONE

Show notes for TWS133.75: Coffee with Encaf (@DragonCon2009)

I arranged a little last-minute, ad hoc get together at DragonCon and invited people to stop by. I was overwhelmed by the number of people, and am seriously considering a panel next year.

We sat around as I poked and prodded with a few Challenge Questions, we probably could have done more — should have done more — but I wanted to keep it under an hour.

Thanks immensely to all who showed up. Next year, let’s do this again!

The people who I think were there:

* Steve Reikeberg from Geek Cred
* Chuck Tomasi, Kreg Steppe and Kyle (Madmarv) from Technorama
* Richard Greene, aka Mainframe, podcast listener extraordinaire
* Crystal aka Starrfyre, from The Squint Squad podcast and another BBTL alumnus (and another of my gamers)
* Suziqb77 from Nekkid Spike, Future Traditions, the NTPRT and another BBTL alumnus (and another of my gamers)
* Larissa from Future Traditions and a BBTL alumnus (and one of my gamers)
* Collin Earl, author of The House of Grey podiobook
* Chris Snellgrove, narrator of The House of Grey podiobook, and his brother Matt
* Jack and Theresa Jaffee from the Down The Road and Baker’s Dozen story podcasts, found at 12vtheater.com
* Tosus and his lovely wife Leanna, all the way from Germany and the Der Geek podcast
* Ray aka Ralph90009 from The 9th Heroescast and The Dollhouse Podcast
* Kim The Comic Book Goddess, from The 9th Heroescast, The Geek Pantheon and Your Moment of Kim, and another BBTL alumnus
* Kinsey from the Brazilianisms podcast
* Dr Ginger Campbell from the Brain Science podcast and the Books & Ideas podcast
* JC Hutchins (at least in spirit, with his bookmarks)
* Jim Ryan from The Great Debate and his new project, Every World News
* Thomas “Command Line” Gideon, host of The Command Line Podcast
* Randy Chertkow from Beatnik Turtle wandered by..
* … and I’m pretty sure that I saw the talented Christiana Ellis of Christiana’s Shallow Thoughts podcast and the Nina Kimberly The Merciless and Space Casey books.
